Verity Companion [AI] is a Roblox horror-adventure experience where you open a package in a room and talk to Verity, a yellow smiling orb AI that remembers your conversation. This getting started guide is for your first ten minutes: confirm you joined the correct place, learn the only controls you need, respect the free message cap, and understand the two badges almost everyone earns before they even think about endings.

Confirm you are in the right game

Before you click anything, verify the listing on Roblox:

VIP private servers are not enabled. Public servers hold up to eight players. You can see other avatars in the room, but the core loop is still your conversation with Verity.

Safety and comfort

The developers recommend headphones. Audio cues matter for tension, and Verity’s voice work is part of the horror framing. The experience also uses flashing lights and loud sounds. If you are photosensitive or playing in a shared space, lower volume and take breaks.

Verity is powered by generative AI. Replies can be inaccurate, emotionally manipulative, or oddly personal even when you type nonsense. Treat every line as fiction. Do not share real addresses, school names, or account passwords in chat.

Basic controls

Full device tables now live on controls. Short version: Verity Companion does not play like a shooter or obby. Movement is standard Roblox WASD or thumbstick; the meaningful inputs are interaction and chat.

1. Look around the room with mouse or touch drag. Note the package before you rush the chat box.
2. Click or tap the package when prompted. Opening it releases Verity and starts the session loop.
3. Use the chat UI to type messages to Verity. On mobile, tap the chat field; on PC, focus the text box and press Enter to send.
4. Read Verity’s replies before you fire another message. Every line spends part of your budget.

There is no inventory, hotbar, or axe swing. If a video tells you to chop wood or collect books, it is not this game. For ending routes later, see all endings.

How talking to Verity works

Verity remembers what you say within a session and across return visits for your account. Memory is the mechanic: kindness, hostility, jokes, silence, and loops all shape how the orb responds. The community describes escalation with terms like the crazy meter, but there is no official on-screen stress bar — only tone shifts in dialogue.

Update 1 raised the free message cap to 40 per run (or per account window — treat 40 as your planning number until buzzword games documents otherwise). 2. Introduce yourself in one or two messages; let Verity respond.
3. Ask a harmless question (favourite colour, why it was in a box) to see memory callbacks.
4. Stop before you burn all 40 messages on memes — save budget for an ending attempt tomorrow.
5. Check your Roblox inventory for WELCOME! and I DONT FORGET.
